Frederic Lumiere: "I am honored by this nomination from the Hollywood Post Alliance. Filmmaking is a team effort and when one gets recognition for his part of the process, he shares it with everyone who came before and after him.
This is an important story about eleven American heroes who were tortured and murdered by SS thugs during the Battle of The Bulge in WWII. They were then abandoned by their own country when the crime was never prosecuted.
66 years later another hero came along, our executive producer Joseph Small who stumbled upon the story of these eleven men while vacationing in Belgium. An avid war history buff but with absolutely no experience in filmmaking, Joe took it upon himself to tell this story to the world. He assembled a team comprised of the renowned historian Joseph Springer and our director Robert Child, who brought me on-board. Rob had an ambitious vision for the film and with the help of our visual effects supervisor Jonathan Gibson and his amazing team at C4 Studios in Toronto and our talented director of photography Jamie Hobbis we pulled it off. The film is now in the hands of the best distributor in the business, Stephen Janson and his team at Janson Media."
Every recognition the film receives is one step closer to the world finding out about our 11 heroes.
